Projection Mapping with Venya

DSC_0005In our next exploration of ways to create visuals, we worked with artist and Kazimer club owner Venya Krutikov to learn about the art of Projection Mapping. Using an open source platform VPT we transformed our wonderful white cardboard box constructions. We found the software quite easy to use, and using a laptop and projector simply mapped the shapes on the screen to the 3D objects and programmed the built in visual content to appear. WYC were wowed with the results. Venya talked to us about his practice and the crazy art projects he has undertaken in the past. Including  Atalonia a piece for AND festival where he transformed a warehouse in Liverpool and took the audience on a journey to the centre of the earth.
